Luis JimenezWord has just reached the Tavern that IMScouting.com have heard a whisper in Chile claiming that Inter Milan midfielder Luis Jimenez is a target for Premier League side West Ham.

They understand that Hammers boss Gianfranco Zola has been in Italy to scout the 24-year-old Chilean International, who made a rare appearance for the Nerazzurri in the Serie A champions clash against Cagliari on Sunday.

Attacking-midfielder Jimenez is said to favour a move to England, despite the Chilean playmaker also being on the radar of Italian clubs, Genoa, Sampdoria and Fiorentina.

Under contract at the San Siro until the summer of 2013, IMScouting believe it will cost the Premiership side in the region of €4million to bring Jimenez to Upton Park and say that the midfielder, who has 20 Caps for Chile is a “player with great technique”, with the ability to create opportunities for his team mates.

What have they been drinking to relay such a tale from South America? Will the summer see the Chilean swap the San Siro for Upton Park? Should this rumour Fly or Die?
