250px-chelsea_deco-11Hot off the press and arriving in the Tavern is the news that The Mirror say that Jose Mourinho is eyeing up a double swoop for pair Ricardo Carvalho and Deco this summer.

The paper claims that former manager Jose Mourinho, who is now in charge at the Serie A champions is keen on a reunion with 31-year-old Carvalho. After luring the Portuguese defender to Stamford Bridge with him from Porto in 2004.

Carvalho has fallen down the pecking order at the Blues, according to The Mirror, with injury restricting the central-defender to feature just 18 times for the first-team this campaign.

Playmaker Deco, is also said to be wanted by Mourinho at the Nerazzurri, who despite arriving at the Premiership club from Barcelona last summer. Has failed to impress at since leaving the Nou Camp and like Carvalho is wanted by Mourinho, who also had 31-year-old Deco in his Champions League winning team of 2004.

It is claimed that Mourinho has been promised funds by the Milanese side after securing the Scudetto in his maiden season in Italy, with it believed by The Mirror that the ‘Special One’ could land the pair for a fee in the region of £12million.

Have they been drinking water or white spirit at The Mirror to come up with this one? Is Mourinho really going to spend £12million on two 30+ year-olds? Will this rumour Fly or Die?
