Marcus BergAnother one onto The Transfer Tavern from the Daily Mail, who now say that Groningen striker Marcus Berg is “linked” with a move to Premier League side Everton.

The paper claiming that the Toffees are “interested” in 22-year-old Berg, who has been a “goal sensation” for Sweden at the European Under-21 Championships to Goodison Park.

However, it is said that the Merseyside club will face competition from Eredivisie giants Ajax, who “are expected to make a £10million bid” to prise the striker from their Dutch rivals.

Berg found the net seven times in four games for the Sweden Under-21 side in the Under-21 tournament, but “missed a crucial penalty” against England in the semi-final defeat on penalties.

So what sort of refreshment and just how many caused the writing of this? Are Everton really interested in bringing the Swedish hotshot to the Premiership? Should this rumour Fly or Die?
