West Ham Out To Scupper Hull Move For Fortune?
Another one arriving into The Transfer Tavern from The Mirror, who are telling us that West Ham United are looking “to hijack” Premier League rivals Hull City’s bid for Nancy striker Marc-Antoine Fortune.
The tabloid claiming, that the Hammers “are trying” to muscle in on the Tigers “£3.4million move” to bring Fortune to the KC Stadium from the Ligue 1 side.
It said that Hull manager Phil Brown believed “he had won the race” to sign 27-year-old Fortune, with ASNL also announcing that “they expected” the striker to “move to” the Premiership club.
However, it is now claimed that Fortune is “expected to meet” West Ham officials “to discuss their offer” for him to choose Upton Park over the KC.
So what strange substance if any has found its way in to the water-cooler art The Mirror? Are West Ham really about to hijack Hull’s move for Fortune? Should this rumour Fly or Die?
