Chelsea Tell Terry To Prove He Wants To Quit Stamford Bridge?
Not to be outdone by his colleagues at The News of the World, Rob Beasly strides into The Transfer Tavern and tells everyone, that John Terry “will this week be told” that if he is “serious” about leaving Chelsea. He will have to “hand in a written transfer request to prove” it.
Rob claiming that Premier League rivals Manchester City “have made a second move” for the Blues and England skipper, with a “£30million” bid for the defender. However, the Blues are said to want a huge “£45milion” for Terry and want him to “admit to the fans” that he “wants to quit” Stamford Bridge.
It said this is the “no-nonsense approach” from Carlo Ancelotti, who is “being backed” by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich. Apparently the Russian billionaire “not impressed” with the Citizens “swoop” for Terry, which he feels has “overshadowed” the arrival of the Italian in West London.
Beasly telling us that “officially” the Blues are adamant that their captain “is not for sale at any price”, but City are “ready to make a third approach at £45million” and that “key figures” at the Premiership side “are dismayed” at Terry not pouring cold water on the speculation.
It said that “at best” Chelsea feel that Terry “will use the speculation” to land an improved deal at the Blues, but Chelsea “are adamant” that the £280,000-a-week on offer at the Eastlands “will not be matched”.
Rob finishing by saying if Terry “does want to quit” Chelsea “will insist” the defender puts it in writing “to prove it”.
So what sort of beverage and just how many was Rob being served? Will Chelsea really force Terry to hand in a written request? Are, City really coming back with a £45million offer? Should this rumour Fly or Die?
