Countdown to the start of the next transfer window:

Fulham to go for out of favour Shorey?

Aston Villa’s 28-year-old full-back Nicky Shorey could soon be on his travels again as a loan move to Fulham looks set to be on the cards.

Shorey has already been on loan this season, having played for Championship club Nottingham Forest, and only returned back toVilla Park two weeks ago.

The move could work well for Shorey because Fulham’s first choice left-back, Paul Konchesky, has an ankle injury and it is unsure as to how long he will be sidelined for.

Therefore, Fulham manager Roy Hodgson could be tempted to move for Shorey because the Villa left-back is down the pecking orderĀ  at Villa Park. Stephen Warnock, the player who is keeping Shorey out of the team, is currently injured himself but it is thought the injury is a short-term one.

Shorey would be a suitable target for Fulham boss Hodgson as the player will be keen to impress at a club that could potentially be playing in Europe next season.

His player profile is on their website… so I would think it about as certain as your mums addiction to methamphetamine
