Countdown to the start of the next transfer window:

Tottenham Steward Embezzles Cash

Date: 8th February 2010 at 1:10 pm | Filed under: Aston Villa,Premiership,Tottenham | Author: Escapini | Tags: , ,

Tottenham Hotspur’s Customer Services Hotline was pulsating this morning after  a complaint about a Spurs Steward at Saturday’s knive edge draw at White Hart Lane, flooded in.

The complaint storm centres around a man known at this stage only by his www.VillaTalk.com forum moniker of GingerCollins29 .

‘At the full time whistle, I was leaving my seat and was hit by a coin, thrown by a Spurs fan.’

Obviously it was this point the seething Tottenham mob had found their range and unleashed hell.

‘Before i(sic) even had time to think about what had just happened, I had to dodge a barrage of at least 3 more coins, programmes and a few bottles.’

‘I went up to a steward, showing him the coin that struck me, and said “thats just hit me are you not going to do anything about it?”

‘His response was to take the coin from by hand, say “thanks”, and then turn around and ignore me.’

‘I told him he was a waste of space and he should do his job properly. His supervisor then came over, and wrote me a ticket for ‘incitement of home fans’.’

The case continues.

When at away matches could we get the home fans to throw coins at us wrapped in 10 quid notes so they don’t hurt too much?

This seems to me a very fair trade. In fact, I find the noise that away fans ‘contribute’ so irritating, could we not explore them Pay Palling the dough in?

The stewards at Spurs are right tossers. I got caught drinking a beer in my seat, and yes I know it’s naughty but what I didn’t know was that it is against the law. So what did the steward do to me? Rather than eject me from the stadium like most would, the snotty little grass handed me over to a copper and I spent the night in the nick. As I’m training to be a teacher I’ll now have a blot on my otherwise clean record whenever I get a CRB check thanks to some jobs-worth down at Spurs. I also had my membership revoked which is fair enough I guess but I’ve also been given a lifetime ban as if I’m some kind of hooligan. Way over the top methinks.

Well Leon the punishment may be a bit over the top but have you ever been to a game before, if you had you would have known drinking in your seat has been banned for years.
