Tottenham Tottenham Tottenham

Tottenham and their plans to upscale to a ‘Your Name Here’ Stadium is not news.

But this picture taken behind the scenes certainly is.

There was a scarmongering piece in today’s Sport’s Pro Media in relation to the increased drain on existing transport a bigger ground would cause. Mmmn, I bet no one had thought of that  *rolls eyes*.

I wonder if a gooner thought of the transport link?!

If you want a laugh you should read the objections to the stadium, almost all clearly gooners.

everyone goes on about the transport & increased capacity but they fail to mention that it is only in the last 15-20 years of the current stadium’s 100+ year existence that we’ve had attendances as small as 35k. For a good 50 years prior to 1992 the area had to cope with crowds far in excess of the proposed stadium. From the 1950′s until the 1980′s White Hart Lane had attendances over 70k – over 15k more than the capacity of the new stadium & the new stadium should have better transport links & crowd control than they did in those days

A good point THFC4LIFE however your not factoring in that health and safety laws are much more sctrict to the point of silly these days, so you can really compare the attendances etc now with then.

Looking at the picture I do not think this stadium is going to be big enough and I don’t like the fact they have finished it with a coat of Magnolia.

whats the point of spurs having a new ground with 58.000 when its almost a certainty they wont b able 2 fill it, the gooners ger 60.000 for carling cup games, spurs have not got the fan base

the gooners don’t get 60,000 for carling games, except when we play them, and beat them.

then again, we only ever beat them in the carling cup. that too, their reserves.
    nice stadium.

Actually Arsenal/Spurs Carling Cup is responsible for Arsenal’s lowest ever gate at the Emirates. That’s because greedy spurs execs didn’t agree with Arsenal’s Carling Cup pricing policy: 20 for adults and 10 for kids. They feel it’s an important game or some nonsense so it should be priced like an FA Cup game. Since the visiting team has to agree to the pricing structure since they share the money, Arsenal had to charge higher rates. Most opposition coming to the Emirates for Carling Cup games are glad that their supporters don’t get raked over the coals (ask Newcastle, West Brom, Wigan, Liverpool, etc), but not Spurs. The greedy bastards. Well Arsenal supporters don’t usually pay that kind of money to watch Carling Cup games, so only about 47k non-regulars showed up and when you add in what spurs brought it was about 52k total attendance.

And you’ve never beaten Arsenal at the Emirates and it’s been a long time you’ve beaten Arsenal away from home period.
