5 Reasons An English Club WON’T Win The Champions League
So, we’ve highlighted why Spurs will win the Champions League. Now we highlight why neither them, Arsenal, Chelsea or Manchester United will actually lift the Cup come Wembley in May (although, that might not technically be true, one of them might do that, it ‘ll just be the FA Cup not the European Cup).
The Premiership Title
This year’s Premiership title is closer between more teams, both inside and outside the Champions League, than ever before. As a result, the English clubs have got more concentration on that than they ever had before. Hence the type of sides we’ve seen, particularly by Arsenal and Man Utd.
Squad Depth
Or, the reason for reason one. The depth of squads at Arsenal, Man United and Chelsea are nowhere near where they were in previous years. Players like McEachran would be nowhere near Chelsea’s bench and Hernandez would not be United’s key man, despite both their undoubted talent.
The Ronaldo factor
You take the rest of Real Madrid’s squad, world class. Then you add a Christian Ronaldo to it that is averaging almost a goal a game…incredible. Not quite as incredible as he is on the new Pro Evo, where you literally can’t get the ball off him, but incredible nonetheless.
Spurs….ARE YOU SERIOUS?????
People may say that reason two doesn’t apply to Tottenham and it doesn’t, they have the best all round squad in the Premier League with great depth. But seriously, you do realise that this is still Spurs we are on about!
Barcelona
Iniesta & Messi, enough said…

Transfer Rumours 24/7

football is much like nations where one rises and another falls as time passes. Remember the phrase \"the sun never sets on the british empire\". I truely believe that TottenhamHotspur are on the rise again to be where they belong. For far too long they have been a sleeping giant.

Look at the “investment” that said English teams made in their players during the last summer transfer window.
We all know Barcelona and Madrid are finacialy bust, well Barcelona no doubt.
The English game needs finance regulation and fast or it will go into meltdown.
Its relying way too much on outside commercial activities and media finance.
Ignoring bums on seats. Simple as.
Believe.

The big English clubs have reigned in their spending in recent years, which is why their depth has suffered.
Meanwhile, the “broke” Real Madrid and Barcelona have been funding mega million transfers that they shouldn’t really be able to afford for years, as if they had a new Sheikh come in and take charge! They are no more financially responsible than the English clubs so stop with the lectures please

I watched Liverpool win the cup when even their own fans wouldn’t have betted a set of my hubcaps on it. Not only the final but during the whole cup they had some incredible luck, so its not always down to skill, ask John Terry if Utd deserved to win in 08, I watched that as well, and any honest opinion will tell you that was Chelsea’s cup, but this is football and there are no certainies.

He’s right, Spurs have the best strength and depth in their squad out of all the teams. There’s Crouch and Jenas off the bench, then there’s, there’s, help me out here…
