£27m Bid Placed As Arsene Faces The Facts At Long Last
Arsene Wenger is ready to break the gunners transfer record with a £27m bid to land Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema, as the departures of Cesc Fabragas and Samir Nasri look all but certain.
The Daily Mail has indicated that a £34m deal for their captain’s assistance at the Nou camp is “close” to going through. Also, Manchester City are confident of bagging last season’s star of the show, Nasri, for a fee thought to be worth £19m.
The signing of the out-of- favour French hit man would certainly inject a well needed morale boost amongst the supporters.
Despite Benzema having an impressive season at the Bernabeu hitting the target on 26 occasions, Madrid boss Jose Mourinhio is keen to off load the front man to raise funds to bring in Sergio Aguero, as he continues his hunt to bag their City rival’s prised asset.
He would certainly be a fantastic signing for Arsenal, and would bring back hope around the Emirates, and with him leading the line the confidence would be restored that the six year trophy drought could be coming to an end.
Clearly there are many positions that need filling in, and just one or two new additions won’t be good enough. The Arsenal boss will also have one last throw of the dice where Samir Nasri is concerned, and offer him £100k a week to stay at the club.
So I’m afraid it’s all or nothing this season Mr Wenger.
He should Go out, do what it takes to get Benzema, replace Clichy, introduce Samba to the back four, strengthen the middle of the park… Or face another year of misery that could see his 15 year empire come crashing down around him, with no trophies, plus running the risk of dropping out of the top four.
The clocks ticking Arsene…

Sesan could right and he is also entitled to his own opinion, what Arsenal needs most in strengthen the defense. Add Cahill, Samba and Juan Mata. Conclude Gavinho deal.

I agree with you Herbert – would also like us to break the bank and get Hazard too

Listen,
Any of you who even think for a fraction of a second that Wenger is going to bid/pay £27m for ANYONE is kidding themselves. It’s an absolutely ridiculous story with no teeth whatsoever.
Wenger refused to pay 1 more million for Schwarzer, he lost out on Alvarez because he wouldn’t pay £11 million. He doesn’t want to pay £17 million for Cahill and he doesn’t want to pay £10 million for Samba.
So if you think he’s going to pay £27 million for Benzema well then quite frankly you should stop getting your ridiculous hopes up and stick your head in a blender, because you’re an idiot.

Wenger risks turning Arsenal like Ajax
into a feeder club for the big teams. This is due to his ego and anti financial doping. Well the red faced/MC/Chelsea and simailar Europena teams do this this. They have trophies to back them up.
I think with Wenger in charge Arsenal will sink further if the Fm continues to buy potential and not experience. A case in point:Walcott. He was bought four to five seasons ago for his wc potential.
Since then he hasn’t fired up the gunners. Maybe Wenger is at fault for not playing him in his natural position. Most fans are agreed the coming season will be make or break for Wenger. The warning signs were there five seasons ago. No action was taken to fix the defence and gk. He is going to pay for his intransigence.
