Spurs were held to a 0-0 draw by Liverpool in their last game in a result that will please their top four rivals more than either team

· Gareth Bale missed a great chance for Spurs, while Michael Dawson made didn’t put a foot wrong in his return to the team

· Newcastle’s Senegalese strike force made an immediate impact, with goals from Demba Ba and new signing Papiss Demba Cisse giving Newcastle a 2-1 win over Aston Villa in their last game

· Tim Krul again performed heroics in the Newcastle goal to keep his team ahead

· Danny Guthrie covered the most ground for Newcastle in that game with 7.24 miles, the second highest total from a single player in the last round of Premier League games

· Guthrie has been limited to ten appearances this season, but has averaged a pass in his opponent’s half every five minutes and got 64% of shots on target while on the pitch and averaged 5.67 miles per game
