Crisis? Try Our £50M Makeover, Mr Wenger…

Though there’s as much left in their season as there is in Richard Dunne’s cookie jar, this summer could finally see Wenger digging up the floorboards to splash the cash.

Love is still at large in the relationship between and Arsenal, and that’s why the club are set to hand their under fire boss £55 Million to spend this summer.

Whether the Frenchman decides to hoard the cash and invest in an 11 year old wonder kid from Costa Rica remains to be seen, but it’s thought the pressure is on Wenger to rebuild his ailing squad in order to start competing competently for major trophies.

After their utter humiliation at the San Siro midweek, followed immediately by a meek exit from the FA Cup, The Daily Mail reports that mega rich shareholder will fly over for a regular board meeting this Thursday, in which he will state his unconditional backing for the manager.

For the first time in his sixteen year stint at the club, Wenger faces serious questions about his ability to ensure Arsenal remain a top side for the foreseeable future. This season has been a disaster of unforeseen proportions, including an 8-2 horror show at Old Trafford and of course a mandatory February implosion.

Gunners legend , who won nine major trophies with the club during his time as a player and manager, this week launched a scathing attack on his former club.

He said:

‘I think Arsenal are in crisis. I think it’s been slipping away for the last couple of years and they’ve not been replacing the players that left four or five years ago.

They’ve got money to buy players and I can’t understand why Arsene didn’t go out and buy some real quality players in the summer.”

However, armed with the support of influential figures within the club, Wenger still holds all the cards in determining the future for the North Londoners. With pressure from the media and supporters reaching optimum level, the manager must now ensure a top 4 finish in order to retain his respect, his star player and of course an integral attraction for top players.

If this is achieved come what May, then the famed tactician must drastically tinker with a philosophy he’s nurtured for around six years. Having been linked to star names such as Mario Gotze and , Gunners fans will still retain the hope that their club might just return to its former glory.

If they are to do so, their squad and starting XI must undergo extensive surgery over the summer, and should look something like this after shipping out the wastage and bringing in the talent: GK – Szczesny RB – Sagna CB – Samba CB – Vermaelen LB – Baines DM – Song CM – Wilshire CM – Ramsey RF – Gotze ST – Van Persie LF – Podolski

dont know what all you guys see in leyton baines, the guy is total shit, andre sanstos is good enough with gibbs as cover, we should be looking to get jan vertonghen, hes 6″2 and very versatile, he would cover cb,lb and cdm, i believe hes quicker than vermaelen and verminator is no slouch.

    players in –

    jan vertonghen
    yan mvila
    mario gotze
    edin hazard
    neymar
    podolski
    benzema
    pato

we could have a dream team with this, plenty of pace, skill and power.
