Guus’ Anzhi Negotiations May Just Buy Villas More Time

As faith is their latest manager wavers, those boys at Stanford Bridge are rapidly running out of alternative options.

It has emerged in the Daily Mail that Chelsea’s ‘emergency plan’ to reappoint has not turned out to be as easy a task as previously thought.

Hiddink coached the Blues back in 2009, clinching them a top 4 finish as well as the FA cup, and since their recent dry spell, a worried Villa Boas has asked for a helping hand. This choice has suffered a severe setback for the Chelsea boss as Hiddink has become a serious candidate for the manager’s position at Russian team .

With Villa Boas under some ruthless scrutiny at the minute over Chelsea’s drop from the Premiership’s top 4, talented and experienced help is something the Portuguese manager could certainly benefit from.

Hiddink is in discussion with Russian team Anzhi Makhachkala, but also in the firing line for the job is recent England drop out .

As the end of the season approaches for Chelsea, and with their skipper possibly out for the next FA cup match, the goal of winning the Premiership, the FA cup or even qualifying for the Champions League suddenly doesn’t look so easy.
