After a week in which off the field controversy has some what overshadowed events on it, Saturday will see the much needed return of the Premiership. One intriguing 3 o’clock kick-off this Saturday sees Bolton travel to Norwich.

Owen Coyle’s side have enjoyed a renewed air of confidence around them of late, after taking four points in their last two fixtures against Liverpool and Arsenal the residents of the Reebok have finally managed to drag themselves out of the bottom three.

In contrast Norwich enter the game at Carrow Road on the back of a three- nil hiding and one of their worse performaces of the season away at Sunderland. However their comfortable position in the league table of 11th demonstartes a successful first season back in the big time for Paul Lambert’s men.

Further positives for Lambert ahead of the game is the lack of injuries he has faced with only left-back Marc Tierney  ruled out with a groin injury. While for Bolton Gretar Steinsson and Jussi Jaaskelainen look unlikely to feature, but on the plus side for Bolton fans debuts could be handed to new siginings Ryo Miyaichi and Marvin Sordell.

If Bolton could manage to avoid defeat it would represent the first time in 11-months that they managed 3 successive league games unbeaten , while Norwich are without a win in their last 3 home games.

The key battle of the match is likely to be the abiltiy of Bolton back four to cope with the aerial threat offerd by Norwich. The Canaries have scored more headed goals than anybody else in England’s top division thus far this season and the loss of Gary Cahill is likely to leave Bolton vunerable in this area.

I expect the the presence of Holt and Morison up-front to ensure a long afternoon for Bolton’s make shift back line, and a slide back through the Premiership’s trapdoor could await the Lancastrians.
