Sheltering from the winter weather appears to be the aim of a lot of the customers in the Football Transfer Tavern today and one such customer is Italian football journalist Nick Harris from Goal.com who reports that Espanyol want to sign highly rated striker Parma striker Dorlan Pabon.

The Colombian international, 24, only arrived in Italy during the summer after a £3.5 million transfer after attracting interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Rubin Kazan among others but has since struggled to settle. He has only one goal so far for the Stadio Ennio Tardini-based side in 12 appearances and could see himself leaving the Serie A side earlier than expected.

Oscar Perarnau, Espanyol director of sport, told Radio Catalunya: “We want to sign Pabon, but it will not be an easy process considering there are many teams interested in him. However, we are in pole position.”

Although his deal runs until 2017, the former Atletico Nacional man may be interested in a switch to Spain during the current January transfer window as he looks to put his once promising career back on track.

Could Pabon be on the move again despite his recent transfer? Vote in our polls below.
