Kaka deal dead in the water
It really does feel as though we are sick of talking about Kaka here at the Football Transfer Tavern and given Sky Sports latest claims, today is not the day we get rid of the Real Madrid player from our mounting rumour list.
Despite a move to AC Milan looking like it could be pushed through according to vice president Adriano Galliani, this is not the case, and a bid has failed. He claimed: “We have given up due to the fiscal situation. Kaka made every possible effort but everything has failed due to the fiscal situation that convinced Real to stop the negotiations. At this point, I think we will remain as we are.”
Kaka had been willing to take a huge drop in pay in order to force through a move and whilst Italian press including Gazzetta Dello Sport had claimed a loan deal until the summer of 2015 when Kaka’s contract runs out may be tenable, the Spanish press were less keen. Marca of course claimed there was a 25 million euro price tag on Kaka’s head and the club were making it virtually impossible for him to leave.
