Kaka to drop salary to achieve Milan return?

We here at the Football Transfer Tavern have been bemused at the saga surrounding Wesley Sneijder and his refusal to compromise over his wage demands but one player who has no such issues is Kaka according to Gazzetta Dello Sport.

So keen to leave Real Madrid and begin to reignite his career back where he shone the brightest, Kaka is willing to drop his annual salary by 4 million euros. The midfielder is currently on around 10 million at the Spanish giants and given the fact AC Milan will have to pay big to land the player, Kaka has offered to drop his salary.

It had been claimed by Marca that there was a 25 million euro price tag on the player’s head, ruling out LA Galaxy and potentially deterring AC Milan, but the player claimed he would do ‘anything’ to join the Italian club. Anything seems to be agreeing a salary of 6 million euros per season according to Gazzetta and whilst Kaka is not exactly joining the bread line yet, it does represent a major drop in his annual salary.

Kaka was of course considered one of the best in the world during his time at the San Siro and is desperate to feel not only the love of the fans again but the trust of his fellow team mates and coaching staff – something he never really gained in Madrid.

Do you think Kaka is right to do everything possible to push through a move to Milan? Vote in our polls below.
