The former Italian Under-21 international has earned plaudits for his excellent performances for the Serie A outfit this season and is regarded as one of the best keepers in Italy.
This has led to the 25-year-old being linked with a big money move to the San Siro with AC Milan.
According to reports, his agent has admitted that he has a decision to make about his future during the summer.
“The transfer market has yet to open for him,” representative Claudio Pasqualin commented. “But he will certainly receive some offers, even if those will only be evaluated in June.
“Should he decide that he wants to play his football elsewhere then we’ll sit down with Atalanta and find a solution to make the player happy.”
He could be lined up to replace Christian Abbiati at Milan with the current first choice keeper’s contract expiring in June and given some inconsistent displays, Milan could look to move him on.
