Milan contract rebel eyes French move

With a contract standoff at Inter Milan going about as well as the Football Transfer Tavern’s attempt at a wine tasting night, it is hardly a surprise that Wesley Sneijder is dominating the paper talk in Italy.

Gazzetta dello Sport  have claimed that money bags Paris Saint Germain are set to offer the midfield maestro a way out in the January transfer window and give him both the wages and length of contract the Dutch man is after – not the ‘adjusted’ one Inter feel is necessary.

Inter look set to hold firm on their wage offer and after a huge amount of success at the Italian giants including winning the treble under Jose Mourinho, a new challenge could be exactly what Sneijder needs.

With Inter sporting manager Marco Branca stating that “We want to give the player and his entourage all the time they need to consider the terms of our proposal carefully, so the coach and the club have decided not to use the player in this period until things are clearer,” it seems that the dispute is not abating anytime fast, yet PSG may face competition for the player.

Manchester United have long been admirers of the 28-year-old and Fergie could well look to make a play for Sneidjer before PSG can get their cheque books out.

Do you think Sneijder would turn PSG into an even bigger threat or will Fergie pip them to the post? Vote in our poll below.
