vorm.jpgIt has been more than a couple of times now here in the Football Transfer Tavern that we have linked Arsenal with a move for a new keeper in the summer and now Metro have put another name in the frame.

Swansea may face losing Michu and Ashley Williams in the summer but now Arsenal have decided to go the whole hog and inflict another possible departure on the Welsh club. Wenger is eyeing their Dutch stopper Michael Vorm as his latest conquest after finally admitting he needs a new number one.

Of course it was only yesterday we reported that he had issued assurances over the future of current number one Wojciech Szczesny with Wenger claiming that the player would be staying at the club, yet behind closed doors the hunt for a new number one continues.

Having joined the Jacks in 2011, Vorm still has a whopping three years left to run on his current deal, yet for the right price and a little bit of persuasion, Wenger believes he can lure the Dutchman away from the Liberty Stadium.

Should this come to pass we are betting Michael Laudrup can find the next Iker Casillas somewhere in Spain and continue on his fantastic buying streak.

Will Vorm trade the Liberty for the Emirates in the summer? Rate this rumour below.
