Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has frustrated us at the Football Transfer Tavern this summer but it appears he has finally get his act together with Valencia goalkeeper Vicente Guaita one of a number of targets, according to Metro.
Guaita has impressed in La Liga in recent seasons and Valencia are struggling financially so a cheap deal may be on the cards for the Gunners if they time it right.
Wenger has already seen a £4 million bid turned away by the cash strapped La Liga outfit but the under fire Gunners boss is set to make a second approach of nearer the £7 million that Valencia want for their number one.
A new goalkeeper is just one of a number of areas that Wenger is keen to strengthen with pressure from Arsenal fans at an all-time high despite two comfortable and impressive away wins in the space of four days.
The Gunners fans are not happy at the lack of transfer activity this summer and are demanding new faces as Wenger has missed out on a number of targets in recent weeks with the likes of Gonzalo Higuain and Luis Suarez opting not to join the North London club.
Guaita is not the big name signing that the fans want but would improve the goalkeeping department no doubt.
