dragovic.jpgThere is good news for Arsenal fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern as it is claimed one of their top transfer targets Aleksandar Dragovic is considering a move to the Premier League – according to Football365.com that is.

Arsene Wenger has been on the lookout for at least one centre back as the summer approaches and is willing to spend a good part of his £70 million transfer kitty on getting in a player who can shore up the defence and put in consistent displays. Now it seems that the Basel player who is wanted by a host of other clubs has been hinting at a move to the Premier League.

The Austrian international claimed that: “Its competition at the highest level, which is what I’m looking for.

“The fans are fantastic, and the clubs command a lot of respect around the world.”

It is not only Arsenal who are considering a move for the player. Sunderland, Everton and Southampton are also looking at the 22-year-old although given the quality and level of play on offer at Arsenal, Wenger expects to be leading the pack when it comes to vying for the young defender’s signature.

Is Dragovic the man to shore up Arsenal’s defence next season? Rate this rumour below.
