There is good news for Arsenal fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern as it is claimed one of their top transfer targets Aleksandar Dragovic is considering a move to the Premier League – according to Football365.com that is.
Arsene Wenger has been on the lookout for at least one centre back as the summer approaches and is willing to spend a good part of his £70 million transfer kitty on getting in a player who can shore up the defence and put in consistent displays. Now it seems that the Basel player who is wanted by a host of other clubs has been hinting at a move to the Premier League.
The Austrian international claimed that: “Its competition at the highest level, which is what I’m looking for.
“The fans are fantastic, and the clubs command a lot of respect around the world.”
It is not only Arsenal who are considering a move for the player. Sunderland, Everton and Southampton are also looking at the 22-year-old although given the quality and level of play on offer at Arsenal, Wenger expects to be leading the pack when it comes to vying for the young defender’s signature.
