Manchester United fans are deep in discussion here at the Football Transfer Tavern, after Matt Law of the Daily Mirror reported one Premier League goalkeeper has his heart set on a summer move to Old Trafford.
Stoke City stopper Asmir Begovic is reportedly attracting interest from a host of top Premier League clubs following a series of impressive displays for the Potters, but it is Manchester United that is really taking his fancy.
Manchester City have also expressed an interest in the Bosnian, whilst Liverpool are also keen to make him the clubs long term successor to Pepe Reina who has been linked with a summer return to Barcelona.
Begovic believes he has more chance of dislodging David De Gea and Anders Lindegaard at Old Trafford than Joe Hart at Manchester City, with Ferguson believed to be thinking of flogging both his keepers at the end of the season.
Real Madrid have been linked with a move for De Gea, who has shown real promise in the Premier League, yet has often suffering with the leagues physicality.
Begovic is not likely to come cheap however, with Stoke City boss Tony Pulis set to demand £15 million for a player he signed for just £3m from Portsmouth in 2010.
