Blackburn vs Wolves The Preview The Prediction

With all 12 Championship matches taking place today, it promises to be a busy afternoon of action. Here we preview one of the key games as the Championship enters its tenth round of fixtures..

Two of last season’s relegated sides meet at Ewood Park.  Blackburn have began life without Steve Kean with successive away draws, and caretaker boss Eric Black will be hoping he can pick up his first win in front of his own supporters.

It will be interesting to see what the atmosphere is like at Ewood Park today.  Will the fans flock back, since their wishes to have Steve Kean removed from the managerial position being finally granted? Will there still be protests aimed at the Venky’s?

Either way, it should be a tight game with both sides deadlocked on 16 points from the opening 9 fixtures.  Wolves have gone about their business quietly so far, but sit in 6th place after recovering from a somewhat sluggish start which could be attributed to adjusting to the losses of both Matt Jarvis and Steven Fletcher.

They appear to have recovered from their Premier League hangover and are more than capable of winning this game.  Prediction ; 1-3

Elsewhere..

Blackpool v Charlton 2-0

Derby v Brighton 1-2

Leicester v Bristol City 3-0

Millwall v Bolton 0-0

Peterborough v Nottingham Forest 2-3

Sheffield Wednesday v Hull 2-2

Watford v Middlesbrough 1-0
