Blues Flop Taking A Walk Across The Capital To Get A Game?

Chelsea’s West London rivals Fulham are reported to be interested in taking Romelu Lukaku on a season long loan from their rivals.

Lukaku has struggled to assert himself on Chelsea’s squad during his first season at the Bridge and it seems the club are also keen to move him out on loan to gain experience.

Fulham are keen to add to their firepower after seeing strikers Bobby Zamora, Andy Johnson and Pavel Pobgrebnyak find themselves new clubs over the last few months leaving them with only Clint Dempsey – who is subject to interest from clubs – and new signings Mladen Petric and Hugo Rodallega as their only forward options.

However, loaning out Lukaku would leave Chelsea with only Fernando Torres and Daniel Sturridge as their striker options which does not seem viable for a team that wants to challenge on four fronts next season.

Chelsea are being linked with several strikers, mainly to replace the departed Didier Drogba, but surely until a replacement is signed and sealed any deal involving Lukaku should be on hold.

Chelsea “FLOP”?!?! They boy is 19 years old ffs! Shoddy reporting. He’s an amazing talent who will benefit from regular games at this stage of his career, and has every chance of developing into a very special player. I’m sure anyone remotely familiar with Chelsea does not share the view of him as a flop…

Wish everyone would read the article and not just the headline! If you read the article you’d see I never called him a flop and actually see him as a decent striker.

People whining bout the word flop remind me of Spurs fans who are adamant that Defoe is a world class striker. You play every week, score lots of goals = you’re a class striker. You can’t get picked = you’re a flop. Well done for supporting the player, but don’t try and kid any of us living in the real world that a striker that can’t get picked is any good.
