Chelsea face battle to keep hold of starlet

stamfordbridge.jpgThere is drama here in the Football Transfer Tavern after the story from Sport Witness who claim that Chelsea could well be set to face a battle to keep one of their rising stars.

Italian giants Juventus are thought to be considering a swoop for the 15-year-old – in a similar way to that of Paul Pogba and feel confident they can land another top player of the future paying no money whatsoever for him.

Kyle Scott has come through the Chelsea youth system and the club are desperate for the player to pen a contract that will keep him at the club as soon as he is able to. Juventus are eyeing a sensational move to take the player to Turin and make him a Juventus player.

The reason this story is with merit is that it actually originates from Italian paper Tuttosport – the same publication who claimed a year before the Pogba transfer that Juventus would land the player – and at the time this was dismissed out of hand, only for it to actually take place less than 12 months later when the rest of the press had caught up.

Chelsea are of course in a tight spot due to Scott’s tender age and may well only be able to tie the player down to a short term youth deal for the time being – meaning that Juventus could well pounce later down the line. Barc elona and Real Madrid are also thought to be keen on the central midfielder.
