There is speculation over the future of Chelsea’s Kevin de Bruyne again in the Football Transfer Tavern as it has been claimed by The Sun that the player will be offered to Bayer Leverkusen as part of a deal to sign their star forward Andre Schurrle.
The German international has been tracked by Chelsea for a while now and sources claim that he could finally be about to be sold by the Bay Arena-based outfit. In order to make sure they are at the front of the cue to land the player, Chelsea are willing to allow Belgian outcast de Bruyne to leave after impressing on loan for Werder Bremen also in the German top flight this season.
de Bruyne has managed to net six goals and provide seven assists this season for Werder Bremen and has even attracted the interest of Borussia Dortmund who are flying high in both the Bundesliga and the Champions League yet it seems that Bayer are the favourites to land the player given his role in the swap deal.
Despite being highly valued by staff at Stamford Bridge, the club are willing to let the Belgian international leave in order to land one of the stars of Euro 2012 for Germany in Schurrle.
