Metro that Chelsea are ready to offer Kevin de Bruyne in exchange for a long-term transfer target.

The club have been tracking German international Andre Schurrle for a long time now and despite not knowing just who will be their next manager and if they will even want the player, Chelsea are set to make an offer for him. The club are believed to be willing to offer around £10 million plus de Bruyne despite Schurrle being valued at around £25 million by his current club Bayer Leverkusen.

In the summer Chelsea attempted to land the player no less than three times and it seems that they are determined that a fourth time will be the last and most successful one. The player is only 22 years of age yet has impressed enough for Michael Emenalo to get personally involved trying to push the transfer through.

For his part, de Bruyne has been on loan at Werder Bremen and impressed enough to have a host of Bundesliga sides interested in taking the player who did admit that he is unsure where his future lies after failing to make a first team breakthrough at Stamford Bridge.

Will the compromise of de Bruyne be enough to persuade Leverkusen to shift Schurrle on? Rate this rumour below.
