Chelsea to bid for former San Siro darling?

Eyes are being rolled around the Football Transfer Tavern as something of an inevitability has occurred. The Express has reported that Chelsea are considering making a bid for a player they have long admired – Real Madrid’s Kaka.

The Brazilian has suffered a well publicised loss of form since his move to the Spanish Champions and despite scoring a goal in the Champions League this week and being handed the skipper’s armband by manager Jose Mourinho, the club will certainly listen to offers for the player.

Whilst Chelsea are in transition and attempting to bring the average age of the squad down, a bid for a player Abramovich has made no attempt to hide his admiration for seems a relative possibility.

Chelsea will face competition for the 30-year-old who cost Real Madrid £56 million in 2009 as sides from both the MLS and Australia are also interested in the player who if nothing else would sell shirts if signed.

Do you think Chelsea should bid for the playmaker or is this typical Abramovich? Vote in our polls below.

It would be silly to bid for kaka that a s**t we need to down the average age and kaka is 30 that is unduly.I chelsea won’t be bonkers enough to sign him afterall what we need is a striker and not a playmaker not even of kaka’s type,l**h.

I believe he would be a good signing, at least for nothing, but his experience and calmness… He definitely will teach our playmakers how to penetrate defences(as dey are not so good @ d@ we know)… I PRAY he is bought! Lamp is 33? Well, we’ll need experience in the team so we wont be an Arsenal without an Arsene Wenger… Yes for Kaka, and Yes for Old guards Stay!!

Yeah, Tomm i agree with you. There’s no character in our team now. No JT and Lampard, we really need a player like Kaka.
