If Manchester City were to sign everyone they are being linked with in the Football Transfer Tavern in recent times they are sure to have a busy transfer window.

Today it’s the turn of Brazilian goalkeeper Rafael Cabral who is interesting Manchester City according to Jamie Sanderson from Metro.

Roberto Mancini wants to bring in added competition for England’s number one Joe Hart as the season progresses and views the South American rising star as potential cut-price signing.

Reports suggest that the 22-year-old Santos shot-stopper will be available for around £5 million in January and he may be tempted into a European move after his club side suffered a disappointing year in the Brazilian Serie A.

City currently only have Romanian stopper Costel Pantilimon and lower league failure Richard Wright on their books and any injury to Hart could be disastrous in their attempt to hold onto the Premier League title.

Both Barcelona and Tottenham have been linked to the Brazilian keeper in the past and he could be an quality alternative to Hart.

Will Cabral be arriving in England soon? Vote in our polls below.
