Euro 2012 Star Lukasz Piszczek Topping Chelsea’s Wish-List?

We all know managers use the international summer tournaments to scout potential signings and it seems new Chelsea boss, the glorious and victorious, Roberto Di Matteo has wasted no time in scouting for the next potential Champions League winners, we hope!
Di Matteo is in the market for a new right back following the release of Jose Bosingwa and the transfer listing of veteran Paulo Ferreira. The search has led the Italian to Euro 2012 where some of the highest rated full backs in European football are competing.
The first to catch the coach’s eye was Czech Republic’s Theodor Gebre Selassie but as Chelsea was mulling an offer over the right back opted to join Werder Bremen from Czech Champions Slovan Liberec.
Luckily Di Matteo has spotted other options and has listed four potential targets and one more contingency plan should all four deals fail.
Borussia Dortmund star Lukasz Piszczek, Ajax’s Gregory van der Wiel, Lille’s Mathieu Debuchy and Manchester United youngster Rafael da Silva all made Chelsea’s wish-list with Inter Milan’s veteran Maicon a cut price contingency option.
Chelsea have faced a setback when enquiring about Manchester United’s Rafael but will still consider him if other deals stall.
van der Wiel has been a long term target and is linked with the club EVERY transfer window but nothing has materialised as yet so how much truth is behind this deal is difficult to say.
Debuchy had impressed for France but competition for his signature is fierce as Newcastle are very keen on the player and perhaps a better guarentee of first team football with the Toon would sway him towards the North.
Piszczek currently plays for Borussia Dortmund and impressed during Euro 2012 with a string of great performances for Poland as they narrowly missed out on the Quarter-Finals.
Piszczek is a flying full back who loves to get forward so embodies the new trait of the modern day full back. The 27-year-old is experienced at both club and international level winning two league titles with Dortmund. He would also arrive without an ego which wouldn’t cause as much dressing room tension if he had to play second fiddle to Ivanovic at first.
Chelsea have set a £15m budget for getting a new right back and Di Matteo has told Chelsea he wants a deal in place for a new defender by the end of next week, as he starts to shape his squad ahead of the new season.

Chelsea should get a gud striker dat wil replace drogba and also a goal keeper bks cech is fading off
June 30th, 2012
Cech is at a good age for a goalkeeper and was one of the main reasons we won the Champions League after a string of great saves against Barca and Bayern so to get rid of him would criminal!
