pirlo.jpgThere is disappointment here in the Football Transfer Tavern as it is claimed that a footballing legend will not consider a move to the Premier League – according to talkSPORT.

Having been linked with a move to Chelsea, it seems that Serie A is the only league for Andrea Pirlo who noted that whilst the interest from a host of Premier League clubs was indeed flattering, he would not consider moving just yet.

At 33-years-old the Juventus midfielder has plenty of time left on the clock and would be of interest to all the top clubs around Europe should he express his desire for a move away from the league he knows so well yet has claimed that he could well consider a switch to either the MLS or even Australia when he feels his time in the top flight is coming to an end.

One of the best players of a generation, Pirlo, when asked about a move to England, claimed: “Never say never. When I get older I might make a choice like Del Piero did,”

“In the past I have been on the verge of transfers abroad and I always thought it would be a positive experience.”

Will we ever see Pirlo in the English top flight? Let us know your thoughts below.
