Some of the conversation in the Football Transfer Tavern has turned into more of a general direction after heavily debating certain clubs, and now we are considering the claims made in the Daily Mail about the transfer window as a whole.
Of course by now we all know that David Sullivan has slightly opinionated thoughts on the transfer window saying: “I heard of three or four agents trying to jump in on other deals. Some of these people are like scavengers.” Of course this follows Redknapp calling it ‘gang warfare’ and despite QPR landing a host of players this window including Loic Remy and Christopher Samba, Harry does not seem a big fan of the January window either.
Sullivan further added that he was ‘glad it was over’ and was more than a little harsh on the agents who are so vital to the window. We have obviously seem big transfers that could make or break a club’s season with struggling Newcastle United and QPR making signings they think can save them from the drop, but also more hilarious events.
Peter Odemwingie will not be allowed to forget his ‘mishap’ in the near future nor will DJ Campbell who claimed he was off for dinner before penning a deal with Hull City only to hop on the motorway to Blackburn Rovers – who were offering a considerably larger salary for the player.
