Swansea City fans are disappointed inside the Football Transfer Tavern following the news from Colin Young of the Daily Mail concerning Danny Graham’s future.
Graham is understood to have travelled up to Wearside for a medical, with a £5.5 million switch considered all but done and dusted.
Graham, 27, played against Sunderland on Tuesday and found himself booed by Sunderland fans due to his former Middlesborough playing and Newcastle United supporting connections, but that has not stopped Martin O’Neill from pushing ahead with the deal.
Graham has been linked with a move away from Swansea for the duration of the transfer window, after reportedly growing frustrated at his lack of regular first team football.
He has played second fiddle for the majority of the season to Spanish forward Michu, although Michael Laudrup has often bought him on and been repaid with some important goals, including a League cup semi final goal at Stamford Bridge.
Laudrup has said he wanted Graham to stay, although it appears the striker has opted for a move away from the Liberty Stadium in search of more regular playing time.
The likes of Norwich City and QPR had also been linked with the forward, although now it appears Sunderland have won the race for his services.
