According to Itasportpress, Chelsea have launched an audacious last-minute bid for Bayern Munich’s Frank Ribery.

It is no secret that Andre Villas-Boas is keen to add to his squad at Stamford Bridge, and with Roman Abramovich seemingly still happy to bankroll this mini-revolution at Chelsea, perhaps this bid should not come as such a suprise.

A long-time Chelsea target, even with the frequent managerial changes at the Bridge, Ribery has been a Bayern Munich player since 2007.

The winger has scored an impressive 32 goals in 101 appearances for the German giants, but Oligarch sized bid may prompt the Frenchman to accept terms with Chelsea.
