It was only yesterday that talk in the Football Transfer Tavern was of Theo Walcott heading to Manchester United in January. However today’s speculation surrounds Juventus who are set to challenge them after lining up an £8 million offer for the Arsenal winger to move to Turin in the transfer window.

According to talkSPORT, the Serie A champions are set to offer the England international a £90,000-a-week deal to entice him to move to Italy before his contract expires in the summer.

Reportedly, Arsenal are keen to cash in on the 23-year-old as he can leave on a free transfer in the summer following his refusal to sign a new contract at the club.

Juventus lost out to Manchester United for long time target Robin van Persie in the summer but are not prepared to do so again and are willing to offer a guarantee that Walcott will be used as a striker at the club.

The Old Lady are also interested in signing Manchester City left back Aleksandar Kolarov in January and are willing to offer £6.5 million to secure the attacking full back. However City are not so keen to lose an important player at this stage of the season and will want more than the Italian club are believed to be willing to offer.
