Chelsea supporters in the Football Transfer Tavern still hold onto some hope that the club will change its mind and offer Blues legend Frank Lampard a new deal with the club. However reports from Goal.com today suggest that the 34-year-old is in talks with LA Galaxy as he looks towards a life after Stamford Bridge.
The MLS side are putting together a package to convince the former West Ham United midfielder to up sticks and follow in the footsteps of David Beckham to the west coast of America when his contract expires in the summer.
Chelsea have now reportedly told Lampard that he will not be offered a new deal and therefore he has stepped up his attempts to find a new club with LA looking an increasingly attractive option.
There has been interest from Premier League clubs for the midfielder, most notably Arsenal and Manchester United but it is understood that Lampard prefers a fresh start stateside.
With his 12-year association with the Stamford Bridge club reaching its end, Lampard could now set for a move to America with Galaxy admitting to seeking a marquee midfielder when the season restarts in March and that could spell the end for Lampard in England.
