Liverpool ace’s future still in doubt

Luis Suarez appears to be their number one target The Daily Mail have a rather interesting claim for Liverpool fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they note that Luis Suarez is certainly back in the fold when it comes to Liverpool fans.

The player has been embroiled in a summer long saga over his future, courting both Real Madrid and also Arsenal yet now looks like he will be staying at the club. Despite being suspended for the first few games of the season, Suarez turned up at Anfield for the first game of the season and got a warm reception from the home fans. Now it seems that the fans and indeed manager Brendan Rodgers are happy with the situation.

Rodgers noted that ‘I’m very satisfied with how everything has been resolved and now we are looking to the future.’

Clearly this is good news for Liverpool fans, yet Suarez himself has said very little about his future and is still believed to be looking for other options. As anyone who saw the opening game of the season for Arsenal could tell you, the club need Suarez and badly, and because they spent all summer long trying and failing to chase the forward, they now have very few options available.

It was only last week that we were discussing how much the fans support would mean to Suarez and could well be a deciding factor in the player’s future – and sadly for Arsene Wenger, Suarez got nothing but positive reactions from the Anfield faithful.

Does the fans support mean Suarez will stay? Rate this rumour below.

Only if they get past Fenerbahce, which they won’t. Arsenal are already on the back foot and playing catchup. WIth their mounting long term injury problems and reluctance to spend big to lend a player, it is unlikely they’ll be in the Champion’s league very long. Suarez is a Liverpool player and is going nowhere, try signing Wayne Rooney
