Here at the Football Transfer Tavern we have gasped in shock at the pictured fight between Mario Balotelli and his manager Roberto Mancini during a training session. This comes on the same day that AC Milan ruled themselves out of buying the player according to Sky Sports.
Just what will happen to the 22-year-old now is anyone’s guess with Balotelli seemingly sensationally burning his bridges in both England and Italy. Despite Roberto Mancini claiming he loves the striker, he also admitted Balotelli had to grow up. His latest indiscretion however shows little sign of that happening.
AC Milan had been linked with a bid for the forward who played for rivals Inter Milan, yet was pictured off the field in the red of AC Milan numerous times during that spell. However his behaviour has not gone unnoticed by AC Milan chiefs, with Silvo Berlusconi claiming that: “Balotelli, as I have said on other occasions, doesn’t convince me as a man.”
Burlusconi did however express interest in signing Mattia Destro who currently plays for Roma, but again ruled out the possible acquisitions of Pablo Osvaldo and Didier Drogba noting: “Destro and Osvaldo? I would certainly take Destro at Milan, while Osvaldo does not fit within the age parameters we have set out to build a young team. The same goes for Drogba. He is 34 and would not fit in with our young player approach.”
