Metro have claimed that Manchester United have finally agreed a fee with Everton for long-term transfer target Maroune Fellaini.
As we all know, David Moyes has not been in the good books when it comes to the Everton fans or board this summer.
As if it wasn’t bad enough jumping ship and joining Manchester United as manager, Moyes then went to see if he could take the Toffees’ best two players with him and for less than Everton had valued them to boot.
Both Leighton Baines and Fellaini have made no secret of the fact that they would be keen on a move to United and the fact that it would further their careers and allow them to play in the Champions League at the very highest level.
As one of our punters quips, we can understand that new manager at Goodison Park Roberto Martinez is not best keen on selling his two stars and has dug his heels in for most of the summer so far.
Now however, it seems that both clubs have come to an agreement and United will pay a reported £20 million rising to £24 million in order to bring the Belgian international to Old Trafford.
Quite what this means for Baines’ future remains to be seen yet it would not surprise us if the left back was still on Moyes’ radar and a final bid was tabled by the end of the transfer window.
