mancini.jpgWe were surprised by the lack of activity in the transfer window by Manchester City here in the Football Transfer Tavern, but Paul Collins of the Daily Mail reckons Roberto Mancini is preparing for a massive summer clear out at the Etihad Stadium.

The exodus will be headed by Argentine striker Carlos Tevez, with it understood that the striker is keen to return home to South America.

The Argentine has just one year left on his contract, and City are willing to listen to offers in order to recoup some of the large transfer fee they paid for him.

And according to the Sunday Mirror, Tevez will not be the only one to leave the club, with Edin Dzeko, Samir Nasri, Joleon Lescott, Scott Sinclair, Aleksandar Kolarov and Maicon all available for the right price.

The futures of England duo James Milner and Gareth Barry are also in doubt.

Barry is also entering the final year of his contract, and Mancini has already begun discussing the clubs future with chief executive Ferran Soriano and director of football Txiki Begiristain.

Both Wayne Bridge and Roque Santa Cruz are still on the clubs books whilst out on loan at Brighton and Malaga respectively and are both set to be permanently sold in the summer, whilst Kolo Toure and third choice keeper Richard Wright are not expected to sign new deals.

All of these moves will save City £12 million on wages added to the £20m they got from the sale of Mario Balotelli to AC Milan and the £170,000 wages they are saving, giving Roberto Mancini money to rebuild.

Manchester City fans. Are the players mentioned above good enough to stay? Let us know your thoughts below.
