Harry Redknapp provides us with endless transfer speculation here in the Football Transfer Tavern, and Danny Griffiths of Metro has stopped by to reveal which playmaker he is hoping to be reunited with.
Redknapp is reportedly hoping to sign Croatian midfielder Niko Kranjcar for a third time, as he prepares for a hectic transfer deadline day.
The QPR manager has plenty of targets he hopes to bring in before tomorrow’s deadline as he looks to build a squad capable of surviving a relegation dog fight.
Redknapp knows Kranjcar well having signed him for Portsmouth and Tottenham, and believes the Croatian’s experience and creativity can play a crucial part in the clubs fight for survival.
He has begun talks with his current club Dynamo Kiev, where Kranjcar has featured heavily in their quest for Champions League football.
However it is understood he would relish the opportunity at another crack in England and the chance to link up with Redknapp again.
Redknapp was left dismayed by the R’s humiliating FA Cup exit to MK Dons at the weekend – a result which has simply fuelled his desire to strengthen further.
It is set to be a hectic deadline day for QPR, with West Bromwich Albion striker Peter Odemwingie, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jake Livermore and Blackburn Rovers central defender Scott Dann all reportedly targets of Redknapp.
