Swansea City striker Danny Graham is a player in demand during this transfer window and today Wayne Veysey from Goal.com has popped by at the Football Transfer Tavern to declare that Newcastle United are the latest club who want to sign the striker.
Veysey understands that Alan Pardew is ready to hijack Graham’s proposed move to Sunderland by making a formal offer for the former Watford hitman.
Both Sunderland and Norwich City have submitted £4 million bids for the forward according to the Daily Mail with the striker looking set to leave the Liberty Stadium during January but as a massive Newcastle fan, a move to his beloved Magpies may be the best option for Graham.
Graham has fallen down the pecking order at Swansea after the arrival of the brilliant Michu and he knows he may have to leave to gain regular first team football.
Martin O’Neill wants to bring him to the Stadium of Light to take some pressure off Steven Fletcher while Pardew is seeking added depth in attack after losing Demba Ba to Chelsea earlier this month.
The 27-year-old has scored four goals in his last seven games for the Swans and would be a vaulable addition to either of the North East sides during the January window.
