Hannah Duncan from the Metro has been telling punters up near the dart board that the Russian giants are putting a package together to secure the Newcastle United forward and that may leave potential suitors including Liverpool and Arsenal in the shadows.
Magpies manager Alan Pardew recently revealed that the £7.5 million buy out clause in the 27-year-old’s contract would come back into force again in the new year and he is not willing to sign the current contract offered by the St. James Park club thought to be around £50,000 per week.
While Ba, who netted 16 times last year and has nearly double figures this term, comes with a relatively cheap transfer fee, there have been concerns expressed that far more money will have to be spent to secure the striker given his £80,000 per week wage demands and likely high agent fees.
However money is not an object for Guus Hiddink’s side who are equipped to pay the Senegalese international what he wants in order to capture their man.
