Real Madrid make Bale enquiry

bale.jpgGareth Bale’s future is up for discussion once again inside the Football Transfer Tavern, with Pete Jenson of the Telegraph reckoning Real Madrid are preparing to test the water with a £50 million summer bid.

The Spanish giants have requested to be notified should the Welshman become available, with the clubs president Florentino Perez prepared to offer £50m for the winger.

Real Madrid enquired about Bale when they signed Luka Modric from Tottenham in the summer, only to be told he was not for sale at any price.

Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has admitted Bale may be forced to leave the club should they fail to qualify for the Champions League this season, and Bayern Munich have already been credited with an interest.

Perez is set to stand for re-election at the end of the season, and wants Bale to be the marquee signing to ensure he is given another four-year term.

However, Perez is aware that signing ‘the left footed Ronaldo’ as he is known in Spain, will be no easy task.

Meanwhile, Real also revealed that former midfield icon Zinedine Zidane will take a youth team coaching job at the club next season, with the long-term aim thought to be that he will one day manage the senior squad.

Is this move destined to come off like most people are predicting? Rate this rumour below.

What baffles me the fair play rules was brought in to stop teams buying succes and turning a competetive league into a walkover league. Spain is now a better model of Scottish league with Barca and Madrid swapping titles. Our league is the best in the world and Modric noes when they dont play Barcelona its rubbish and easy . Gareth Bale would get bored winning plastic medals Spain has a country is also in serious trouble financially and they bankroll Madrids transfers. So if you do your homwork and Spurs are prepared to let him go for a swap and money it wont happen. Bales little girl is juts born and he wont want to take her away from her grandparents while shes not one also Cardiff his home town will be promoted and playing against them will be one of his dreams. My advice don’t take any notice to a man righting who supports Liverpool this is a ploy to stop so called one man Spurs from finishing 4th or better.

Go Dav, Yup I agree what achievement is there in winning a two team league. The best bankrolled team in the world with the most boring league to match. In our league Spurs can and have beaten Man U how many teams in La Liga can say they can and have beaten Madrid?. If a team in Spain produces a star do they automatically lose them.. probably because that’s the way in a boring league. What if they underneath all this psychological BS don’t really care about Gareth play but basically want to stop his development (like Modrics?). I only see them destroying talent nowadays not nurturing it and helping it.
