Queen Park Rangers fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are still on a high after the R’s shock 1-0 victory against Chelsea last night and their mood was further improved after talkSPORT reported that the club will be extremely active in the January window in an attempt to escape relegation.

New Hoops boss Harry Redknapp, who masterminded last night’s incredible win, has insisted that the club will be bringing new players despite an amazingly defensive display in West London.

He told talkSPORT: “We still need to strengthen up. No doubt about that. The two centre-halves [Ryan Nelsen and Clint Hill] have done miracles. I think they’re both 35 years of age.

“There is not a lot of depth [in the squad]. I had to play Adel Taarabt up front tonight.”

Redknapp has already lost out on the signature of Joe Cole to West Ham but The Telegraph suggests that he is looking to make French left back Anthony Reveillere his first signing this window.

The 33-year-old Lyon left back could act as a defensive replacement for Jose Bosingwa, who is unlikely to play for the club again after his refusal to be among the substitutes in the Loftus Road side’s defeat at Newcastle, and he would be available for a minimal fee with the Frenchman’s contract expiring in in the summer.
