The Guardian.

Of course it has been claimed in recent weeks that Suarez would be leaving the club in the summer in search of Champions League football and it is not something that Brendan Rodgers takes lightly.

The Reds are fully aware that to keep hold of their top players they need to get at least a top four position in the league and as of now, this does not look like it is about to happen this term.

The club are fighting to keep hold of an asset like Suarez and are keen to make sure he stays past the summer. The player himself claimed that he would be open to a move in the summer but he also reiterated his love for Liverpool and indeed the English Premier League.

Not only this but Brendan Rodgers also claimed that he was confident that the forward would stay past the summer and noted that Liverpool’s long-term ambitions included reaching the top four in England.

Is Rodgers confidence misplaced? Let us know your thoughts below.
