It is not exactly a shock at the Football Transfer Tavern that we have just seen Goal.com claim that Chelsea are preparing for a double header in terms of big name arrivals this summer.
After last nights interview with ITV Sport, Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho claimed to Gabriel Clarke that he wanted to ‘go where he was loved’ and Chelsea certainly represents such a place with the fans still carrying a special place in their hearts for their most successful and loved manager.
After a breakthrough in negotiations with Roman Abramovich and his advisors, it seems the Special One will be returning to Stamford Bridge this summer and could well have lined up Radamel Falcao to join him in West London.
The Colombian striker has been linked to a whole host of clubs, most recently to Manchester United and now it seems that Mourinho has made the forward his number one priority as the summer transfer window draws closer. This is not exactly a shock given that even as Real Madrid manager, Mourinho courted the player and indeed set his eyes on luring the former Porto man to whichever club he arrived at next season anyway.
Whilst current Chelsea ace Branislav Ivanovic claims the players ‘cannot wait’ for a Mourinho return, Chelsea have more pressing matters to focus on with tomorrows Europa League semi-final second leg with FC Basel to contend with.
