HMV may be on the verge of going out of business, but that doesn’t mean they have lost their sense of humour.
One of the company’s employees (probably a Manchester United fan) thought it would be more appropriate to put the DVD of Liverpool’s 2012/13 season review in the comedy section – and you could argue that was a more appropriate place for it!
The Reds strong finish to 2012/13 took a lot of attention away from some of the farcical ongoings at the Anfield club last season.
First of all – Brendan Rodgers doing his best David Brent impression in ‘Being: Liverpool.’
“The player plus the environment equals the behaviour”.
“I wasn’t so much born with the silver spoon in my mouth, but the silver shovel,” were just a couple of Rodgers pearls of wisdom.
And Chief Executive Ian Ayre’s motorbike? Come on.
Then failing to replace £35 million man Andy Carroll with – anybody whatsoever.
The home defeats to Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion, the FA Cup defeat to Oldham Athletic, and Sebastian Coates all featured highly on the clubs list of embarrassing/humerous moments – depending on which team you support.
And of course, who could forget Mr Luis Suarez completing his finest cannibal impression against Chelsea in April?
On second thoughts, all HMV’s should follow suit and stock all Liverpool 2012/13 season reviews in the comedy section – it might just save them from going under!
