The Arsenal Transfer Rumour That’s Insane, Yet Strangely Enticing…

Arsenal have been linked with a surprise £7m January move for QPR attacking midfielder Adel Taarabt. The Moroccan international has disappointed for the Hoops since they gained promotion to the Premier League in 2011, but Arsene Wenger has made Taarabt a target should the Gunners fail to land Wilfried Zaha in the winter transfer window.

Whilst Zaha remains the number one target, Taarabt could prove to be an inexpensive gamble, should the Gunners miss out on the England under-21 striker. The 23-year-old has the talent to shine at Arsenal, should Wenger be able to reinvigorate the Moroccan’s enthusiasm that has been somewhat lacking in the past couple of season’s for QPR.

Taarabt, who played for Arsenal’s north London rivals Tottenham, before moving to Loftus Road, does fit into the Gunners’ way of playing, but his temperament brings into question whether he will be a he will be a help or a hindrance at the Emirates.

Wenger is one of the few managers in the Premier League, who has the ability to get the most out of Taarabt, and with the midfielder likely to have a positive impact on Arsenal’s style of play there is no reason why this move, should it happen, won’t work.
